The Inachidae are a group of spider crabs in which the often long eyestalks lack orbits.
Characters (from Bennett 1964, as Inachinae): Eyes without orbits; eyestalks generally long, either non-retractile or retractile against sides of carapace or against acute postocular spine; basal article of antenna extremely slender throughout its length, usually long.
