Belongs within: Ceratozetoidea.

Murcia is a genus of oribatid mites found in Eurasia and the Americas (Subías 2004).

Characters (from Balogh & Balogh 1992, as Trichoribates): Prodorsum with tapered lamellae, translamella present; lamellae reaching anteriad to level of insertion of rostral setae. Notogaster with lenticulus; ten pairs of setae; four pairs of areae porosae; pteromorphae immovable. Six pairs of genital setae; one pair of aggenital setae; two pairs of anal setae; three pairs of adanal setae. Legs tridactyle.
