Zetomotrichidae

Dorsal (left) and ventral views of Anoplozetes jamiesoni, from Lee & Pajak (1987).

Belongs within: Oripodoidea.

The Zetomotrichidae are a group of oribatid mites in which the fourth pair of legs is often enlarged for jumping. Members of the family bear a prominent humeral process bearing seta Z1. The notogaster lacks porose areas but there are numerous scattered refracting micropores (Lee & Pajak 1987).
