Cryptops hortensis, copyright Tom Murray.

Belongs within: Myriapoda.

The Scolopendromorpha are a group of often large centipedes, bearing either 21 or 23 pairs of legs. Members of the family Scolopendridae bear four ocelli on either side of the head whereas species of Cryptopidae are eyeless (Mundel 1990).
