Euseius

Euseius stipulatus, from Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Agrarias.

Belongs within: Phytoseioidea.

Euseius is a diverse group of predatory mites, including some species used in the biological control of the citrus thrips Scirtothrips citri (Grout 2001). Notable species include E. papayana, characterised by a dorsum bearing several pairs of enlarged sublateral setae and differing from other species in the genus in lacking setae Z1 (Moraes et al. 2001).
