Bastilla is a diverse genus of moths found in Indo-Australia and Africa, with larvae mostly feeding on Euphorbiaceae (Holloway & Miller 2003).

Characters (from Holloway & Miller 2003): Forewing postmedial fascia frequently smoothly concave posterior to angle at junction with trapezoidal mark; secondary angle, if present, usually posterior to vein CuA1. Male genitalia with uncus usually simple, moderate superuncus sometimes present; valves with double or triple coremata, valve processes consisting of single, elongate, distally ornamented costal process and well-separated, slender, rod-like saccular process; juxta often short, broad; aedeagus strongly curved or angled, insertion of ductus ejaculatorius basal or subbasal; vesica may be globular or with diverticula, usually with groups of relatively robust spines or cornuti.
