Engina is a genus of tropical marine gastropods with a sharp-spired, ovate shell bearing prominent nodulous ribs.
Characters (from Oldroyd 1927): Shell ovate-conic; spire shapr, with longitudinal nodulous ribs, decussated by revolving lines; aperture narrow, with several oblique plications in front; outer lip rather thick, inflected or callous in middle, crenulated within.
