Chamobates

Chamobates is a genus of oribatid mites found in Eurasia and North America (Subías 2004).

Characters (from Balogh & Balogh 1992): Prodorsum with long lamellae present, translamella absent; lamellar setae originating near rostral region, on surface of prodorsum near end of lamella; interlamellar setae originating on prodorsum near dorsosejugal suture. Notogaster with ten pairs of setal alveoli only; four pairs of areae porosae; pteromorphae immovable. Six pairs of genital setae; one pair of aggenital setae; two pairs of anal setae; three pairs of adanal setae. Legs tridactyle.
