Belongs within: Circumdehiscentiae.

Gustavia is a genus of oribatid mites found in the Holarctic and Ethiopian regions, characterised by remarkable long, styliform chelicerae bearing distal serrations. It has been suggested that these may be used to scrape bacterial films (Norton & Behan-Pelletier 2009).

Characters (from Norton & Behan-Pelletier 2009): Length ca 600 µm. Subcapitulum anarthric; chelicerae styliform, movable digit serrate distally, fixed digit absent. Prodorsum with true lamellae. Notogaster with octotaxic system absent; dorsophragmata and pleurophragmata present. Border of epimere IV with minitectum.
