Africoribates

Africoribates is a genus of oribatid mites found in sub-Saharan Africa (Subías 2004).

Characters (from Balogh & Balogh 1992): Prodorsum with lamellae and translamella present. Notogaster with pairs of setae; four pairs of areae porosae; pteromorphae movable. Six pairs of genital setae; one pair of aggenital setae; two pairs of anal setae; three pairs of adanal setae. Legs tridactyle.
