Rhyparochromidae

Belongs within: Panheteroptera.

The Rhyparochromidae are a group of bugs that mostly feed on ripe seeds that have dropped to the ground (Carver et al. 1991).

Characters (from Carver et al. 1991, as Rhyparochrominae): Suture between sternite 4 and sternite 5 curving forward laterally and not attaining lateral margins of abdomen; trichobothria usually present on head.
