Belongs within: Psocinae.

Loensia is a genus of barklice in which the fore wings are extensively marked with scattered blotches.

Characters (from Mockford 1993): Adults of both sexes macropterous. Five distal inner labral sensilla present. Fore wing marked with scattered spotting and blotching over most of wing surface with no particular pattern. Hypandrium with or without basal sclerites; asymmetrical medial strap present based on right side, usually trending leftward, bent upward and forward at apex, sometimes not bending leftward but a lobe or process on left side sometimes as long as or longer than strap. Phallosome with short anterior apodeme; distally with a single process, usually symmetrical. Male epiproct chair-shaped, extending anteriorly over clunium. Subgenital plate with distal process short and wide, about as long as, or slightly shorter than, its basal width; pigmented arms slender, directed forward, abruptly widening to form broad, quadrate lateral areas. Ovipositor valvulae with apical process of v2 long and slender; v3 relatively slender, transverse, with moderate to long median lobe.
