Loeblichiinae

Belongs within: Loeblichiidae.

The Loeblichiinae are a lineage of fusulinids with a tendency to loss of sutures and evolute coiling known from the mid-Visean to lower Namurian stages of the lower Carboniferous (Cózar & Vachard 2001).

Characters (from Cózar & Vachard 2001): Evident quasiendothyroid trends, i.e. numerous chambers, absent sutures, evolute whorls and chomata. Various types of wall, from microgranular to granular.
