The Ataxophragmiinae are a group of Foraminifera known from the Lower Cretaceous to the present (Loeblich & Tappan 1964).

Characters (from Loeblich & Tappan 1964): Early stage with three or more chambers in each whorl but increasing in number with growth or uncoiling and spreading to form low conical test; interior with internal pillars and partitions.
