Belongs within: Lixinae.
Lixus is a genus of elongate weevils, their elytra at least twice as long as their combined length, with a cylindrical rostrum, triangular to kidney-shaped eyes whose lower edge is close to the ventral edge of the rostrum, and basally conjoined claws.
