The Tetrataxidae are a group of conical Foraminifera known from the lower Carboniferous to the Triassic (Loeblich & Tappan 1964).
Characters (from Loeblich & Tappan 1964): Test free, trochospiral, few chambers in whorl, conical; wall granular calcareous, in two layers.
