The Selenoribatidae are a group of oribatid mites found in intertidal habitats in tropical and northern temperate regions.
Characters (from Norton & Behan-Pelletier 2009): Length 370–420 µm. Gnathosoma normal; chelicerae with dentate chelae, with two setae. Prodorsum without true lamellae; bothridial setae reduced. Octotaxic system absent. Epimeral setal formula 1-0-1-1. Genital plates with three pairs of setae. Tarsus II with one solenidion.
