Belongs within: Amphipoda.
The Liljeborgioidea are a group of mainly marine and brackish-water amphipods, with some species found in freshwater hypogean habitats.
Characters (from Bousfield 1983): Mandibular left lacinia mobilis basically 5-(rarely 4-)dentate; sternal gills (when present) single, mid-ventral; gnathopods usually weakly or not sexually dimorphic, dactyls with elongate unguis.
