Belongs within: Phthiracaridae.
Rhacaplacarus is a cosmopolitan genus of phthiracarid mites. The type species R. amoenus was described from Uganda and probably the greater number of known species are from Africa (Subías 2004).
Characters (from Balogh & Balogh 1992): Inner margin of ano-adanal plates with three pairs of setae equal in length and their distance from one another. Seta d on tibia IV long, removed from solenidion.
