Belongs within: Lycidae.
The Lycini are a group of soft-bodied beetles in which the junction between the trochanters and femora is transverse rather than oblique (Bourgeois 1889). Members of the genus Lycus are mostly Afrotropical in distribution and may be found gathered in large numbers on flowering trees (Bouchard 2014).
