Allonothrus

Allonothrus is a genus of tropical and subtropical oribatid mites bearing elongate setae on the posterior part of the notogaster.

Characters (from Balogh & Balogh 1992, vol. 1, as Allonothrus + Pseudonothrus): Sensillus present; posterior part of notogaster with very long and/or flabelliform setae; epimeral setal formula 3133; genital and anal plates of macropyline type, large, occupying entire ventral side posterior to epimeres; seven to fourteen pairs of genital setae, genital plates without transverse suture; aggenital setae absent; twp pairs of anal setae; three pairs of adanal setae; legs with one or three tarsal claws.
