Its three subgenera are distinguished by the morphology of the sensillus: lanceolate and ciliate in Multilanceoppia, fusiform and pectinate with bifurcate side-branches in Furculoppia, or fusiform and simply ciliate or pectinate in Multioppia sensu stricto (Balogh & Balogh 1992 vol. 1).
Characters (from Balogh & Balogh 1992 vol. 1): Sensillus fusiform or lanceolate, ciliate or pectinate. Usually with three pairs of sigillae between the interlamellar setae. Notogaster with twelve pairs of setae. Genital plates with five pairs of setae. Fissure iad paraanal.
