Rhophodon

Rhophodon is a genus of very small snails with discoidal, radially ribbed shells found in northeastern New South Wales and southeastern Queensland (Stanisic et al. 2010).

Characters (from Stanisic et al. 2010): Shell minute to very small, discoidal with a sunken, flat or slightly raised spire; whorls tightly coiled, sutures impressed; protoconch sculpture of curved radial ribs becoming more crowded towards latter half and very low, spiral wrinkles, teleoconch sculpture of extremely fine and crowded to strong and widely spaced radial ribs, microsculpture of microspiral threads and low microspiral cords; aperture with varying numbers of palatal and parietal barriers; umbilicus wide, saucer-shaped. Colour pale yellow to brown with reddish brown radial streaks to monochrome white, yellowish or brown.
