Scoparia is a genus of moths distinguished from the closely related Eudoria by their non-retractile ovipositor.
Characters (from McDunnough 1961): Male genitalia with uncus tapering and ending in blunt point, claspers showing a short, projecting spine on ventral margin, vesica containing a cluster of strong cornuti. Ovipositor non-retractile, posterior apophyses very short.
